I’ve been trying out doing sketches in the morning right when I wake up and I think it’s been good for me. I feel like it’s a form of meditation to get my mind in the art mode for the rest of the day. We’ll see where it takes me.

Lucio found out that underneath it all, Widow is actually a really sweet girl.

This is for a commission I did over on Deviant Art. First commission I’ve ever done and oh man I found out I REALLY don’t like drawing ideas that I didn’t come up with. I feel like they didn’t come from my soul or something. I prolly will do more commissions in the future because I like making people’s dreams come true, but it’s going to be a while.

I’m going back to drawing only the things I want to draw. Permanent Tao state, here I come!

Mika in a body suit! An old sketch I decided to turn into a painting experiment. Trying out different painting styles to see which one I like the most. Kinda overwhelmed by how many ways there are to paint. o_O

This is my first attempt at “realistic” rendering I’ve ever done (at least for the skin anyways). I was shocked I was able to make it look this good! Obviously I have a hell of a ways to go to get better at rendering, but something interesting happened to me.  I feel like some of the psychological barriers, that were stopping me from having more confidence with my art, have finally fallen off after this. I’m going to have to write an article about this. You’ll never know how good you are until you push yourself past your perceived boundaries.
