Bonus comic!

Yay, chapter 4 released finally! It only took me 3 1/2 months! Phew! 🤣🤣🤣

I started drawing this at the beginning of November 2022.

I decided in November, that I’m going to finally transition to doing comics mostly.

I started drawing in 2016, but I don’t think I figured out I actually wanted to make comics until 2018.

So I guess it’s only been 4 years I was screwing around for?

I initially decided to get good at Art by drawing big tiddy anime waifus, and then I would transition to comics “when I got good”.

Well turns out that was a crock of shit, and I SHOULD have just started working on comics from the get go.

The only way to get better at drawing comics (or w/e skill you want to improve), is to actually just go and draw comics.

I wanted to sharpen my art skills (by drawing women) before I started drawing comics, but it was mostly just a long detour.

If you’re a young artist reading this, and you want to do “x” in Art, just go do it right away.

There’s no point in waiting.

Yes, you will get better at Art by practicing fundamentals and practicing in general.

BUT, the only way to get better at a specific thing (comics, perspective, landscapes, etc…) is to just GO DO THE THING.

Ah well, you live and you learn.

I hope you’re doing well, and please learn from me.

Don’t put off your dreams “until you’re ready”.

Get going and work on them right now!

It will be tough and you will prolly get your ass beat by life.

But the satisfaction you get as you move step by step towards your dreams is monumental.

There’s few things in life better than the struggle and the conquering of that struggle.

Keep going people.

You will get to the top of the mountain someday.

Just keep walking one step at a time.

also the girl is most likely sub-consciously inspired by Lupe Scuevas, back in her goth bob-cut girl phase from yearssssss ago. (or possibly Kina Shen, I have no idea. Lupe and Kina are the definitive black bob-cut model in my mind that I can remember.)

Marley bump 1 – (2022 recap, future plans going forward)

I’ve been wanting to try drawing in the low res style of @hcnone and @gogalking for a long time and finally got off my lazy ass and did it!

It’s pretty neat drawing with super low res brushes. The definite strength of it is that it makes drawing wayyyyy faster.

The reason is, your mistakes are severely minimized because of the low res line art. So if you’re a beginner artist, it allows you to get away with murder with your lineart lol. (top tier artists are masters of line art, but low res lines allow you to make mistakes and mostly get away with it!)

(if you wanna know how to do this kinda of line art, just use a pen brush and turn off the anti-aliasing so the lines are very blocky/pixely. then just draw at a super small resolution, and voila!)

And lastly, I had the interesting idea of making adult swim-esque bumps for my art and MMF characters. It gives me a way to post my art to youtube and also expose people to some amazing songs (imo). We’ll see how that turns out in the long run. I also want to start posting process videos again for my art, so we’ll do that too.

In other news, lets talk about my future plans.

I spent from Nov. 2021 to Dec. 2022 focusing on getting better at Youtube, like learning the process of making a video, thumbnails, releasing often, etc…

I definitely learned a lot about youtube and gained alot of subscribers and I feel pretty comfortable with my knowledge now about making videos.

I had pretty much put my art/comics on the backburner for the past year, so I could get better at making youtube videos for a year.

But, in November I got a full time position at my job and that severely limited my free time. So with my back against the wall (time wise) I decided I care more about Art in the long term, than youtube videos.

So, now it’s time to return again to art. My gut tells me: it is time to take up the pen again and focus alot more on art!

I’m going to be focusing on developing a obsession for drawing comics, because that’s ultimately what I want to do. But I also will resume drawing normal pictures like portraits, character art, etc…

Going forward, I am not going to be drawing porn anymore.

I haven’t explicitly said this before, but basically I’m coming back to religion in my old age and realized that drawing porn is NOT good for me or humanity lol.

I’ll prolly write an article about this in the future, we’ll see.

Bonus comic!

It’s been a year and 1/2 since I released the last comic… 👀

I still wanna make comics, I just hate actually drawing comics lol!

I spent 5 years drawing anime tiddiez so I could become a better artist, so that I could draw comics better in the future (when I decided to finally draw comics lol).

Well boys and girls, let me tell you: whatever you want to do (in art, and also life), just start doing right away.

Don’t put it off and say “I’m not ready yet…”

Cuz you’re never gonna be fucking ready lol.

I regret not forcing myself to just make comics 6 years ago instead of drawing pin-ups to “become a better artist”.

You will learn what you need to know along your path anyways.

It’s better to just start doing the thing you want immediately, rather than waiting for when “you’re ready”.

 

So anyways, now that I’m forcing myself to draw comics, sometimes it’s agonizing and I don’t wanna do it, but I do it anyways (even if just for 15-30 min).

That’s actually how it was for me in the beginning even when drawing big tiddy anime girls.

It was agonizing and I hated it, becuz I sucked at drawing.

But eventually after about a year and 1/2, something clicked in my brain and I got obsessed with the art process of drawing female bodies and such.

So here I am doing the same thing again with comics.

I know in another 6 months to 1 year I will get that same desire with comics.

And then I’ll finally be on my way to becoming a comic artist.

After 6 years of drawing, I’m finally starting to do the thing I wanted to do in the first place!

So, like I said, if there’s something you want to do in Art or in life (asking out that girl, starting a Youtube channel, starting a twitch channel, etc.)…

You better go fucking do it. 😁

Otherwise you’re gonna be another me, wondering:

“Why didn’t I get started on that thing 5 years ago???”
